Lisa Brookman is a licensed psychotherapist with 18 years experience working with adults and adolescents who have faced a range of complex challenges. She is the founder and co-director of the West Island Therapy Centre, a Montreal based clinic offering psychological services to children teens and adults. She is also the co-creator of Wise Women Montreal www.wisewomenmontreal.com a lifestyle blog for Montreal women.
Lisa is passionate about her work and believes in empowering her clients to meet their therapeutic goals. She loves working with people and she takes great pleasure in watching her clients move forward and achieve success.
Her clinical experience includes working with individual, couple and group therapy for issues such as infertility, postpartum depression, parenting challenges, marital conflict, anxiety, depression, self-esteem and confidence building, grief and bereavement and life cycle issues. Lisa has also taught social work classes at the CEGEP level and facilitates various workshops and support groups throughout Montreal.
Lisa received her Bachelor’s degree in social work from McGill University and her Master’s Degree from the Université de Montréal. She received additional post master’s training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy at McGill University and is a certified psychotherapist. Lisa is a member in good standing of both the Ordre Professionnel des Travailleurs Sociaux du Québec and the Ordre des Psychologues du Québec.
